We are so very excited about this year that we will be spending time together joning each other in "Loving, Learning, and Living in Christ." We'll be opening our Bibles and Catechisms to further reinforce what God has to say for us: His good and perfect way for living our lives, and that undeserved grace and forgiveness when we fail, when we sin. We'll apply the Word of God to those everyday situations that we all find ourselves in. That's the freedom we find as Christians - that we don't change with the situations as they come up; we simply apply the truth of God's Word to them, and we'll be on the right path. Click here for a Confirmation Sermon Outline Guide Here's some of the changes that you'll find this year: - Once each month, we'll gather the parents together for a time we're calling the "First Wednesday" for a cup of coffee and a snack and a time to unpack and review the things your kids are learning in Confirmation. It'll be a great opportunity to learn or review these priceless life lessons God is impressing on our hearts. Your presence at each "First Wednesday" is required so that you and your child can encouter God and His Word in this great new way!
- We're asking all parents to read and sign a covenant, in which you are agreeing to be the primary resource for your child's spiritual education and growth. Besides the time that is necessary at home in prayer and devotions/Bible study, you will be agreeing to faithfully attend "First Wednesday" each month, faithfully and regularly attend worship together, and to take very seriously God's admonition to all parents to "impress (God's Word) on your children. Talk about it when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. (Deuteronomy 6:7)".
