Vision

We are delighted to extend to you a warm welcome from Harlan Park Baptist Church. We exist to glorify God and bring others to know Him through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We want you to discover faith, family, and fellowship.

Faith in Christ provides us with abundant life here on earth and an eternal home in heaven. Family provides a sense of belonging and mutual love. Fellowship connects us to vital relationships which enable us to give and receive God's love. If you are in search of any of these things, we would like to help you. We also realize you have certain gifts and abilities that our church could use to enhance the ministry and outreach of this church. We will pray with you for God's leadership as you seek His will about a church home and about His plan for your life.

We take seriously the Great Commission of Jesus found in Matthew 28:18-20. We want every person to experience the love of Jesus for themselves, and then become more and more faithful in sharing His love with the world.

HPBC is a great place and guests are welcome. We would love for you to get connected to our church. Below are some steps you can take...

1. Let Us Know You Are Here - Fill out a guest card when you visit, and drop it in the offering plate. Be sure and let us know what would be the best way to contact you.

2. Attend Worship Regularly - Make worshiping at HPBC part of your weekly routine. God created the Sabbath because we all need a special time of worship with others every week. As you meet God at HPBC, you will begin to feel more at home.

3. Try a Small Group - This is one of the most important ways you can really connect at HPBC. Ten different adult groups meet each Sunday morning at 9:45. A listing of each group can be found at the HPBC Welcome Center. Together HPBC members share life and study the Bible. Perhaps one of our groups would be a good fit for you. Try several until you find one for you. Also, Pastor Gary leads a Pastor's Sunday School class each week at 10:00 a.m. called "Fundamentals of the Christian Life."

4. Sign Up for our New Member Class - This monthly class will help you know more about the heart beat of HPBC, how to become a member, and what church membership means. This class is typically held the 3^rd Sunday of each month from 10 a.m. to Noon in Room B7 led by Gary Cox.

5. Join the Church - The commitments we make define our lives and membership in a local church is an important part of the Christian experience. The Bible is clear that we all need a church family. God never intended for any of His children to be orphans. When the time is right, once you have completed the New Member Class, fill out a guest card, and present yourself for membership to the pastor during the song of response at one of our services.

DURING YOUR FIRST TIME AT HPBC, MAY WE RECOMMEND:

FOR YOUR CHILDREN - Trust your children to the care of our dedicated and loving nursery workers! Classes are available for children of all ages. During the worship services, our nursery provides care for preschoolers up to age 4.

LET US DO THE GIVING - Please don’t feel obligated to give money. Our services are gifts to you! The offering time is for our members and regular attenders.

Our Faith

We are a Southern Baptist Church and part of the largest Protestant denomination in the U.S. We agree with the doctrinal statement of the "Baptist Faith and Message" as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention.
