What should I expect when I attend New Testament Christian Church? At New Testament Christian Church, we feel it is our responsibility to "clear the way" so to speak, for you to come to church. We want you to be able to experience the great music, relevant messages, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere that is all part of New Testament Christian Church. And we know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions.
How do I get there... What should I wear... What is available for my children... What can I expect during the services? Well, here is a quick look at what you should expect, based on what people see when they visit New Testament Christian Church.
At New Testament we do our best to make sure the first face you see when you aproach the church has a smile on it. Whether you need childcare, or a place for your teens, a greeter will be waiting to help you get where you need to go.
You'll enjoy upbeat music and practical messages that help you deal with real life issues. We’ll even give you a helpful outline with the Bible passages. What you learn on the weekend, you’ll be able to use during the week. We want to help you connect with the personal hope and practical help that God can give us.
We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. So, dress casually and you’ll fit right in.
We know that as a parent you need to be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment. And we know that your children are looking for a FUN place to learn. We’ve invested a lot to make sure that both of these goals are reached.
The offering time during the service is for those who are part of the New Testament Christian Church family. Instead of wanting you to give something, we want you to get something! If you would like to give, feel welcome to, just know that we do not ask or expect it.
If it’s been a long time since you’ve been to church, New Testament Christian Church has you in mind! There’s already enough you have to think about when you’re visiting a church for the first time. We hope that getting some of this “stuff” out of the way not only encourages you to join us for church, but also helps you to connect with the hope and encouragement that God has for you.

How do I become a member?
1. Walk Forward
An opportunity is given at the close of each weekend worship service by Bryce McFarland or Bill Hauser to walk forward and become a member of New Testament Christian Church.
2.Talk with a minister or Elder
Bryce or Bill will introduce you to someone who will talk with you individually regarding your decision (Membership Requirements). If you have any questions, please call 319-524-8727. Someone is always available during office hours (8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.) to speak with you.
3. Be Baptized
If you have never been immersed in baptism as a believer before, you will get the opportunity after talking with one of our leaders, or another time will be scheduled. Since Christ asked us to believe in Him, turn away from self-willed living, and be baptized (Matthew 28:18-20), baptism is a requirement for membership at New Testament Christian Church.
I'm a member, now what?
We offer an overview of New Testament Christian Chruch for new members. This is a series of classes that meet twice a year beginning in April and again in October. These classes are designed around our mission statement in order to explain our process for discipleship. You will learn what it means to Believe in Jesus Christ, what it means to Belong to the body of Christ, and how to Become all that Christ would have us to be. You will also learn about our expectations, beliefs and ministries. When you become a member you will automatically be enrolled in the next series of these classes.
If you would like more information about these classes, please contact the church office at (319) 524-8727.
