Instructions: Embedding your FLV/MP3 files within your website

You can embed your Flash Videos or MP3 files within your website in a similar format to that of YouTube and Vimeo. To do so:


1. Click on Edit My Media Files and note the Player ID of the media file that you would like to embed. (FLV and MP3 files may be embedded.)


2. Go back to your main content management area and create (or edit) a (new) content page.


3. In either the Teaser or the Body section, click on the SOURCE button.


4. In the spot that where you want to insert your video, enter the following source code:

In the ID field, enter the ID number that you noted in Item 1. In the WIDTH field, enter the width (in pixels) that you would like the embedded video to be. (i.e. 350) The height of the player will automatically be set. In the WIDESCREEN field, enter either 0 or 1. 0 represents that you would like your media file displayed in a standard 4:3 format. 1 represents that you would like your media file displayed in 16:9 widescreen format. Here is an example. If you wanted to display Media ID 999 at a width of 300px wide in a widescreen format, the code would be:

The editor may throw a field in called “tabindex”. You can just ignore this.


5. Click the UPDATE button at the bottom of the page.

You can reuse any of your media files in any of your content areas throughout your website.
